The Mountain Grass Unit
Birmingham, Alabama pickers, The Mountain Grass Unit, is bringing a new face to bluegrass, blending it with country, jazz, funk, rock, and metal without missing a beat. Made up of members Drury Anderson (mandolin, vocals), Luke Black (acoustic guitar, banjo), and Sam Wilson (upright bass), the trio has worked hard to establish a firm foundation in order to take on not only the vocal harmonies of traditional bluegrass tunes, but also the freedom to adapt songs from various genres to an all-acoustic format.
