Kainalu is the moniker of Trent Prall who is his own flavor of psych funk. You can hear the multi-instrumentalist inspired sound span the likes of Toro y Moi to Motown classics, to modern psychedelia, all the while being rooted in his Japanese - Hawaiian heritage. Kainalu explores concepts like the impermanence of life through washed out vocals, versatile percussive sounds, and intricate synths that make you want to move your body.
