And So I Watch You From Afar delivers a brand of instrumental prog-rock that is distinctly otherworldly. They flawlessly transition from weighty breakdowns to calming buildups in a variety of time-signatures and styles. A few racks of pedals allow these happy metal heads to experiment with worlds of diverse sound; from fuzzy to crunchy to 8 bit. Rory and Nialls’ raging, schizophrenic guitar dueling is supported by Johnny’s massive, deadly bass lines. The band’s dynamic sound is completed by chanting gang vocals and the dominating presence of drummer, Chris Wee.
